AT THE CROSS ROAD
Dear friends,
Greetings in the name of our good Lord Jesus Christ!
Last year ended and this year started with me being on the road again, both literally and figuratively.
I thank God for the opportunity to come home and spend the New Year holidays with my parents after the National Conference. We missed my older brother who is currently working in Vietnam. Nevertheless, it was a good time of rest and relaxation with my family.
Afterwards, I went back to Tagaytay for our Staff Conference. It was a time of fellowship and learning with my fellow staff. However, I was also facing a crossroad at that time. The crossroad was to choose whether or not to continue my present road as staff or leave staff work and take another road that is very much unknown. I have been wrestling about this since last year, and I have sought the counsel of older trusted Christians. It was during the Staff Con that it became clear to me that it was time for me to leave staffwork and venture into the other road that is full of uncertainties. But there is peace in me that it is the right decision because I am now starting to envision my future again.
One of the roads I am planning to take is to join the Serve Asia Program of OMF. I have already submitted my application form. Please pray with and for me and OMF Thailand as we explore the possibility of me serving there on July 2010. Pray for guidance and preparation both spiritually and practically.
After being away for more than a month from the region. It was nice to be back meeting with the students again. It was also fun assisting Ara with our Bible Study Training Series last January 29, February 5 and 19. I was in charge of the food. Thank God I was able to cook foods that were edible, and nobody got sick!
We had a Pre-valentines Celebration last February 12 in partnership with Midcity Church which was a bit of evangelistic in nature.
Praise God for the opportunity to conduct classroom evangelisms at Benguet State University last February 8 to 10 through the help of Mrs. Flor David (SVCF Baguio Alumni) who gave us the opportunity to share the Gospel to her students. Students from the University of Baguio and University of the Philippines Baguio participated. It is a blessing to hear their stories and excitement of what they experienced. Most of all, it was exciting to share the Gospel to the students of BSU.

I was literally back on the road again last February 22, when I visited Faith Academy and SIL Philippines with PBTS friends. I thank God for friends who helped financially so that I can join the trip. It was a good experience with a lot of learning. I was reminded of how vast the mission field is.
I am yet again preparing for another journey – Kawayan Camp 2010. I am assigned as Small Group Coordinator and Sessions Coordinator. Pray for me as I prepare the materials especially the Small Group guides that will be included in the camp manual. Please pray that I will have an eye for the details.
Thank you so much for your partnerships.
Blessings!
Zyla
