Staff Nars on Call!

Do you know “Jedidiah” in the Bible? The other name of whom? Yes, that’s the infant name of King Solomon. I was having my Devotion when I encountered this name— meaning “Loved by God”. How beautiful! How wonderful is the feeling of being basked with the love of the Creator, Alpha and Omega, Measureless, Triumphant, Unlimited God. My Savior, my Victory, my Intercessor, and my King! Words and names are never enough to describe Him. Never I have fully grasped the truth that I am His beloved child, and like Solomon, I am also loved by God. Why did I tell u these? Because God’s loving arms embraced me as I journey in the first two months of 2010. My experiences were a bit different, yes, I am still going to campuses but at the same time, the Lord blessed me with opportunities to learn more from Him. All I can say is “Thank you!” to my Master and to those who’ve supported me in prayers and sponsored me that everything became possible!

Every month has its theme. He is faithful to NCF and to me. Here are my fun learning experiences:

January  (Theme: Joy)

  1. Staff Conference in CDC, Tagaytay (with Enchanted Kingdom Treat)- learned more on staff life and fundraising.
  2. Max’s Treat to IVCF staff– yummy treat
  3. 2– day Far Eastern University “Called to care” seminar for student nurses (Speaker: Mrs. Denia Santos)– Less than 200 students from all year levels attended. There were 70 students who signed up to be members of NCF.
  4. NCF Retreat 2010– 12 NCFers were present for a whole day retreat at the Evangelical Church of Cassanova in QC. 4 new members that day. Praise God for the 5 Retreat staff who helped NCF!
  5. MAP Medical Mission for the Muslims in Quiapo– participated in the Feeding Program.

February (Theme: Love, as expected but genuinely differentt)

  1. Beyond Balance Retreat at Silang, Cavite– Thanks to those who sponsored me c/o Ate Rita. Really needed that break.
  2. Seminar on leadership at SACI
  3. True Love Waits Seminar– I was able to share what I learned to our campus fellowships

  5. Accountability fellowship with a full-time missionary in FEU– another prayer  partner in the ministry

  8. Treat for a half day “Touch of Glory prayer mountain retreat”- A refreshing and reviving experience of God’s faithfulness.
  9. NCF Ladies and Gent’s / Spiritual Check-up at SRC. Recto– the Lord moved and is continually moving in  our hearts
  10. Medical Mission at Silang, Cavite– I love the community!
  11. NCF seminar at CBCP (Speaker: Mrs. Delia Tan)- I’m not there but  NCF was able to reach out at least 50 professionals to care to the elderly in the church.

FEU Called to Care seminar

March (Theme: Trust)

  1. Tito Rolly and Tita Eliza Malicon’s 25th wedding anniversary and Staff appreciation at Sulo Hotel-  Praise God for this fellowship of different generations.  I am adopted by Ugnayan Christian Fellowship, NY as NCF missionary. Got love gifts. Thanks Lord!
  2. Family Time- Almost 6 years after mom’s death, at last, Papa cooked again for us!! i really missed his yummy specialties! thanks Lord.:)

These are some highlights for this quarter. There are alot of stories and feelings behind yet i only feel one thing— LOVED! =) I want to thank the Lord for He allowed me to witness His Saving Grace to my friends and “anaks” in NCF. It is my joy to serve my the Living God. :) The first quarter is my season of being equipped— a preparation for the months ahead of me.

God. :) The first quarter is my season of being equipped— a preparation for the months ahead of me.

As I reflect, I can’t help but remember my name also (since I’ve started with Jedidiah). Honestly, I disliked my name, up until I learned its meaning. Rita means “pearl”— I am precious like a pearl. While it ages, it becomes more lustrous, while it rubs on skin, it becomes more shinier (unlike silver or gold). An oyster undergoes a painful process to form the pearl. I realized that my hardships and pains as a staff worker, by God’s grace, made me stronger and grow fonder  of His love. I shine for my Lord!

Through all these, I want to bring Glory to my Master. The lyrics of the song, “Sa Kanya” (Bread of Life Ministry), is what I offer to Him. Here it is:

Sa kanya na makakagagawa ng higit
Sa lahat ng maaring hilingin at isipin
Sa kanya na makagagawa ng higit
Sa lahat ng maaaring hilingin at isipin
Ayon sa kanyang kapangyarihang gumagawa sa atin…
…Sumakanya ang kaluwalhatian
sa Iglesia na Kay Kristo Hesus
Sa lahat ng Salinlahi..
Magpakailanman. Amen.

“Ako’y makagagawa ng higit sa iyong iniisip.”  Efeso 3:20

I want to end this with the Name above all names,  my First Love, who deserves all the Glory, honor, and praise— Jesus Christ!
