IVCF BOT Statement Regarding Mr Ongkiko and Mr Estrada
OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE IVCF BOARD OF TRUSTEES
REGARDING THE ACTIVITIES OF Mr. JOSEPH “Boyet” ONGKIKO
and Mr. NICODEMO “Nico” ESTRADA
AMONG THE IVCF GRADUATES
There have been reports regarding the activities of Mr. Joseph “Boyet” Ongkiko and Mr. Nicodemo “Nico” Estrada among IVPM and IVCF alumni groups advocating and inviting them to organize and SEC-register as a National IVPM.
The IVCF Board makes a categorical statement informing the IVCF Body that there is no Board approval or existing Board Resolution authorizing the creation of the National IVPM.
What the IVCF Board approved and authorized is the creation of a National IVPM Executive Committee to oversee the Graduates Ministries and the National Coordinating Council which would supervise and coordinate the activities and programs of the Student Ministry, the NCF, and the Graduates Ministries.
For the information of everyone, the following are the relevant Board Resolutions which govern Graduate and Affiliate Ministries

| 21-Nov-07 | BOT-R-07/23 | It has been moved and seconded that a NATIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL will be instituted and organized, composed of the ND, the NCF Chairman of NCF Executive Committee; and the Chairman of the Graduates Ministries Executive Committee to define the relationships and guidelines across ministries. The Board also designated Atty Jordan Reyes as Interim Chairman of the NATIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL, until the newly organized council has duly elected its Chairman. |
| 5-Jan-08 | BOT-R-08/01 | By virtue of the wider scope of student ministry, the Board hereby designates the National Director as the more appropriate Chairman of the National Coordinating Council. This Board Resolution supersedes the designation of Atty Jordan Reyes as the Interim Chairman of the NCC. The Board also hereby designates the following representatives to the National Coordinating Council: NCC Chairman : Ramon Tecson, IVCF OIC; NCC Vice-Chair and NCF Representative: Phebe Pendon; Graduates Representative: Atty Jordan Reyes. The Board asked Atty Jordan Reyes to assign a representative in case he is not available during NCC meetings. |
| 5-Jan-08 | BOT-R-08/02 | BOT-R-08/02 The Board affirmed that all groups and/or ministries who would like to support the IVCF Movement must go through the formal process of IVCF Affiliation, subject to the approval of the IVCF Board. The Board will formalize the IVCF Affiliation procedures. Individuals who would like to serve as counselors must formally apply as Grad Team. |
| 3-Sept-08 | BOT-R-08/20 | The Board approved the implementation of IVCF Affiliation for Christian graduates groups, Christian sectoral and/or interest groups, and/or IVCF Alumni groups to be guided by the IVCF Philippines Affiliation Policies and Guidelines. All existing groups should be invited first. The Nurses Christian Fellowship should also affiliate. The announcements about this, the Affiliation Policy and Guidelines, and the Affiliation Application Form should be posted in the IVCF website. |
The IVCF Board therefore declares that the activities of Mr. Joseph “Boyet” Ongkiko and Nicodemo “Nico” S. Estrada among IVCF alumni groups and graduates advocating and inviting them to organize and SEC-register as a National IVPM are NOT SANCTIONED nor AUTHORIZED by the IVCF Philippines.
