Intermediate Staff Training, Bangkok

Lala Pla and Shebel Solmia attended the East Asia Intermediate Staff Training last February 21-27, 2009 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Again thank God for Cebu Pacific’s very low fares. IFES also gave scholarship and travel subsidy to one staff. The theme, “Keeping Vibrant, Leaving Legacies” is a very appropriate one for intermediate staff. Our two delegates found the training very relevant and inspiring. I think it is really good for them as
they are being prepared for greater responsibilities in the movement. I served as a resource person. I handled sessions on Singleness, Managing Conflicts and Burnout. I was refreshed, too, as I listened to the other speakers and as I interacted with the participants.

The language barrier was transcended by our sense of belonging to one big family. I am sure this training made an impact to our two staff.
