Orientation on Spiritual Disciplines For The Christian Life.

We have sensed the excitement as we take off on this Spiritual Journey towards Godliness.

There is nothing inspiring than for us to experience the movement of the HolySpirit in our Midst as we journey together towards Christlikeness: Godliness and Holiness…

I would like to invite you to be with us. See you with your partners, family, triads and friends.

We learned and reflected on the Central Theme :

The only road to maturity and Godliness (Christ- likeness and Holiness) passes through the practice of the Spiritual Disciplines.

1. These personal and corporate disciplines promote spiritual growth and have been practiced by God’s people since Biblical times.
2. Jesus modeled them for us and expects us to pursue them.
3. In doing so, we will taste the joy of a Spiritually Disciplined Lifestyle.

Spiritual disciplines (SD)

Summary:

1. Personal and corporate disciplines that promote spiritual growth
2. Habits of devotion and experiential Christianity
3. A means of receiving God’s grace & growing in Godliness
4. By SD, we place ourselves before God for him to work in us
5. A way to seek God and know Him better
6. The SD are like Channels of God’s transforming Grace
7. The Lord expects us to pursue the SD
8. The consequences of being Spiritually undisciplined
9. SD brings freedom
10. SD takes time
11. God invites us to enjoy SD
12. Persevering in the practice of SD

Catalysts that God uses to make us more Christlike:

1. People : we will be working Triad Formation and Triad Development By Prayer Zone
2. Circumstances
3. Spiritual Disciplines : individually and corporately
