faithful.”
Thirty four people (22 adults and 12 kids) attended the ACF Graduates General Assembly last January 16, 2010 at Fiesta Homes, Dasmariñas, Cavite. The presence of various people was added blessings to the affair. Several first timers graced the said event: Myrna Punongbayan Auxtero, Ponch de los Santos, Joseph Reyes, Josie OcampoJeresano, Antonio Mercado and Judith Esponga. Three students, Abed Salcedo, Dwight Buyawe and Zoren Domingo, were also present; they encouraged the group by sharing their appreciation to the ACF graduates that supported them financially in camps and conferences. Inter-Varsity Professionals Movement was blessed to have had conducted several activities in 2009. The IVPM core wanted an activity to reconnect the veterans and the new blood in IVPM. So in July 24, a grand reunion of IVPM veterans and new bloods was organized. Last August 26, Pastor Norbert Manzano talked on Christianity on the Age of Twitter–a very timely topic for this era. To help guide them for future directions, Angela Backstrom addressed the young professionals on career planning last September 25. Management of finances for God’s glory was also discussed by Dr. Ken Villanueva last October 23.
The group was also privileged to conduct activities that enabled them to share their blessings to each other. In coordination with Precious Heritage Ministries, IVPM fed and taught kids from Sta. Ana, Manila on November 14. Three days after that, November 17, IVPM Makati sponsored a film showing of A Journey Home . To celebrate Christ’s coming on earth, IVPM held its Christmas party on December 4. It was indeed a fruitful and blessed year for IVPM. To start another year filled with blessings, IVPM hosted a Missions talk facilitated by the IVCF Missions team on January 29.
To God be the glory.

The Inter School Christian Fellowship in Quezon City Science High school has been an established and recognized chapter. It was pioneered by Lola Edna, a dedicated alumna of the school. They regularly held Large Group Fellowships and Bible Studies which were attended by many students.
Some administrative changes aiming for students to focus on their academics were implemented in June 2008 .Along with other clubs, ISCF was not recognized that school year. This change brought new challenges to the fellowship. Big group gatherings and regular meetings were limited and the fellowship started to meet outside the campus. Parent’s permits were now prepared to make sure that students were allowed to attend fellowships.
It has been almost six months since the fellowship started praying for ISCF’s accreditation in the school. Efforts such as official letters and personal dialogues were made to properly communicate with the principal regarding the accreditation issue. However, both endeavors were unsuccessful. The principal advised to send a letter of request to the school’s superintendent instead. The letter was submitted last December 6, 2009. After
the Christmas break with much prayers and petition, it was learned last January 18, 2010 that the superintendent immediately approved the letter of request two days after it was submitted. But then again, a newly appointed school principal (Dr. Amid) refused to accept the recommendation from The Quezon City Schools Superintendent Office for he claims that the last say must come from him. He proposed to send another application next school year.
Despite of this scenario, Bible studies and fellowships are regularly held every Tuesday. High hopes of QueSci being saturated by the Gospel of Jesus is still held up high. Students and their vows to the Lord serve as encouragements to keep on pursuing God’s ISCF ministry in Quezon City Science High School.

It has been two weeks after the convention and yet I still couldn’t believe I was able to attend. To someone whose parents has always been opposed to the idea of going to camps like sibol and lcdc, it came as a shock to me that they had given their permission to attend the National Conference held at DAP tagaytay last December 27 to 30. All the speakers were blessed with wonderful messages. And all the delegates were like kindred spirits who have joined together to worship one God.
I came there knowing only a few familiar faces but I came back with many more faces to remember. Words could not express my gratitude to the people who have helped in making me attend that conference and so allow me to simply show it through my action by applying all the things I’ve learned.
To be a living gospel is not easy. To do the great commission is even a greater task. but our God is greater than all of this, and he had promised to accompany us until the end of time. So as a Christian I won’t let my weakness and fear to have control over me for Jesus has assured us, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” –Jn16:33
I have asked God for a thousand times, “What do you want me to do?” and always, with my reliance to my own understanding I come to a dead end for the answer. But God worked in many ways just to show me, just what he wanted me to do, and I discovered exactly what it was during the National Conference.
The World’s End as the Beginning

In the advent of economic crises, evolving warfare, increasing natural calamities and abrupt climate change, theologists, modern scientists and even Hollywood personalities have all conceded to the fact that our planet is no longer young. There are currently numerous theories that attempts to predict how our world will come to an end; these ranges from the mystic to the scientific. Thankfully, the Bible is not silent on this matter. So, at the university-wide ACLE (Alternative Classroom Learning Experience) held in UP Manila on December 15, 2009, SVCF-Manila provided university students an opportunity to find out
how truthfully the Bible explains the signs of the times.
Rev. Philip Tarroja, a lecturer at the International Graduate School of Leadership, elder at Capitol City Baptist Church and former National Director of WorldTeach Philippines, spoke at the event entitled “The End”. The title seemed to have easily captured the students’ interest, because slots were immediately filled on the first day of signing-up. It was overwhelming to see fifty students jam-packed inside the lecture room at Rizal Hall on the day itself. Praise God!
Before the lecture began, the participants made a concept map that shows their ideas, notions and tidbits of knowledge about the topic. Familiar terms like “four horsemen”, “the Jewish Temple” and even “Nostradamus” appeared on the board. They also listed down several questions about things that still needed clarification.
Pastor Philip’s three-hour lecture gave a thorough discussion of the topic and the questions that were listed beforehand. He first began by establishing the accuracy of Biblical prophecy with vivid illustrations that left jaws dropping. Then, using several passages mostly from the books of Daniel and Ezekiel, he drew a timeline of world events from a Biblical perspective.
“Israel is God’s timepiece”, he said, “and if the world’s existence were to be measured in a single day, and we were to check the time right now, what time do you think it would be? Are we at 9 o’clock? 12 noon? 5 o’clock? No, you’d be surprised. Because if you study carefully what the Bible says..I believe we’re at 11:55”. The timeline was then traced forward to the events that are yet to happen.
The discussion gave emphasis on concepts such as Rapture and Great Tribulation. As the speaker presented more passages from Revelations and narrated his own experiences and conversations with Jews in Israel, the students became more fascinated and concerned. The participant’s fascination provided the perfect opportunity to present the truth of the Gospel. After his lecture, Pastor Philip shared his testimony and challenged the audience with the urgency of responding to Jesus. He ended the event by leading a prayer of acceptance.
We thank God for giving us this opportunity to openly share His message of Salvation on campus. Praise God for how He has moved and continues to move in the hearts of the students. Pray for us as we follow-up the participants of that afternoon’s event this January. To God be all the glory!
